The Kleen-Team offers a
service to remove the spent
limestone and associated sludge
from neutralization pits. We
take the associated waste
off-site to approved and
regulated disposal facitlities.
The pit and associated piping
are then flushed with water to
remove any residual
contamination. After the
cleaning is complete the pit is
then backfilled to the original
level with fresh limestone.
Neutralization pits are
prevalent in many industrial and
commercial facilities where
light acid use occurs. The pits
become spent after a period of
time and the neutralization
agent, usually limestone, has to
be changed out.
